Multi-rail monitoring in a compact footprint
The MAX6735KALTD3+T is a three-channel multi-voltage supervisor from Maxim Integrated, designed to monitor up to three supply rails in systems where power-up sequencing and brownout detection are critical — think FPGAs, SoCs, or multi-rail embedded controllers that need a clean reset on any undervoltage event. The adjustable channel gives flexibility for non-standard voltages like 1.8 V or 2.5 V without a separate supervisor IC. Reset timeout is 140 ms minimum, long enough to let the rails settle before the CPU starts fetching code.
Package, temperature, and board integration
Housed in an 8-pin SOT-23 package (SOT-23-8, supplier device package same), the MAX6735KALTD3+T is a surface-mount part suited for space-constrained PCB layouts. The 0.65 mm pitch and 2.9 mm body length fit easily on a two-layer board; the exposed pad (if present on this variant) helps thermal conduction in high-ambient environments. Rated for industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C (TA), it covers most indoor and outdoor equipment — telecom base stations, industrial controllers, and automotive cabin electronics.
This means it remains a viable choice for new designs without a forced migration path in the near term. RoHS3 compliant, the part is free of the ten restricted substances under EU Directive 2015/863, including lead, mercury, and cadmium.
