Three-rail supervisor in a SOT-23-8
The MAX6729KAVDD3+ from Analog Devices is a three-channel power supply monitor that tracks up to three voltage rails and asserts a common active-low reset output when any monitored input falls below its threshold. It is designed for systems that need reliable power-up sequencing and brown-out detection across multiple supply domains — think FPGA core, I/O, and auxiliary rails in a single compact SOT-23-8 package. The three threshold voltages are 0.788 V, 1.575 V, and an adjustable input, letting you supervise a mix of fixed low-voltage rails and a custom threshold set by an external resistor divider. The push-pull output drives logic inputs directly without a pull-up resistor. Reset timeout is a minimum of 140 ms, giving the downstream ICs time to stabilise after the monitored rails come into regulation. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C covers industrial environments — outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor controllers, and automotive cabin-zone electronics.
Package and mounting
SOT-23-8 is a standard surface-mount package. It suits dense PCB layouts where board area is at a premium. The supplier device package is also SOT-23-8, so no footprint mismatch between the generic case code and the manufacturer's recommended land pattern.
Lifecycle and compliance
The ROHS3 rating covers the full substance restriction, including the four phthalates — no exemption expiry to track.
