2.93V threshold, 140 ms timeout — the supervisory decision
The MAX6713SEXS+T is a single-channel voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that holds a microprocessor in reset until the supply rail stabilises. It monitors a single voltage rail at a 2.93 V threshold and asserts an active-low, open-drain reset output for a minimum of 140 ms after the rail rises above that threshold. That timeout gives the oscillator and PLL in a typical MCU time to settle before the first instruction fetch.
Package and temperature grade — board-fit constraints
Housed in an SC-70-4 package (also known as SC-82A, SOT-343), the MAX6713SEXS+T occupies roughly 2.0 mm × 2.1 mm of board area. The four-pin footprint — VCC, GND, RESET, and a no-connect — routes easily on two-layer boards; no thermal pad or exposed paddle to worry about. If your design lives in a -40°C cold-crank environment or sits near a 105°C engine-bay ECU, this part has the margin. The threshold accuracy holds across the full temperature range — the datasheet's threshold voltage tolerance is specified at 25°C and drifts with temperature per the internal bandgap reference.
