The MAX667ESA+ is a positive adjustable linear regulator delivering 250 mA from a 1.3 V to 16 V output range, with a maximum input of 16.5 V. The 0.35 V dropout at 200 mA means the input rail needs only 350 mV of headroom above the set output voltage to stay in regulation — useful when running from a battery that sags under load. Quiescent current is 35 µA typical, and the maximum supply current is 20 mA.

Control features and temperature grade

On-chip control features include a dropout detector, enable pin, and low-battery detection. The dropout detector flags when the input-to-output differential approaches the dropout threshold, giving the system a warning before the output falls out of regulation. The enable pin lets a microcontroller or supervisor shut down the regulator entirely, dropping the load current to near zero.
