What the 30 mA / 12 V rating means for your BOM

At 30 mA output, this part is sized for bias rails, op-amp supplies, or small-signal loads — not a power amplifier or relay driver. The fixed 12 V output eliminates the need for an external feedback divider, saving two resistors and a feedback-node noise source. The 500 kHz switching frequency lets you use 0.1 µF to 1 µF ceramic flying capacitors, which are smaller and cheaper than the electrolytics needed for lower-frequency charge pumps.
