What this sensor does — and where it fits
The Maxim Integrated MAX6610AUT+T is an analog local temperature sensor that outputs a voltage linearly proportional to temperature at 10mV/°C. It senses its own die temperature over the full -40°C to 125°C range, making it suitable for industrial control, automotive under-hood monitoring, and thermal management in power supplies or motor drives. The analog voltage output feeds directly into an ADC input — no digital interface to configure, no I²C bus to poll. Supply range of 3V to 5.5V lets it run off a 3.3V or 5V rail without a separate regulator.
Accuracy at the extremes — what ±5°C at 125°C means
The datasheet quotes ±1.2°C typical accuracy at 25°C, but the worst-case spread widens to ±5°C across the full -40°C to 125°C range.
Lifecycle and sourcing
ROHS3 compliant. For small quantities, the Cut Tape option is available; for volume, Tape & Reel is standard.
