What this supervisor does on your board
The MAX6422XS29+T is a single-channel voltage supervisor that holds the reset line high (active-high output) until the monitored supply rises above the 2.925V threshold, then releases after an adjustable timeout period. The push-pull, totem-pole output drives the reset signal directly without an external pull-up resistor — handy when routing to a processor's reset input on a dense board.
Package and rework reality
Housed in SC-82A / SOT-343 (SC-70-4), this is a four-pin surface-mount package with a 1.3mm x 2.0mm footprint — small enough for space-constrained designs but with visible pin tips for hand rework under a microscope. The SC-70-4 has no exposed pad, so the thermal path is through the pins alone; keep the copper traces wide to the GND pin if the part sits near a hot regulator. Tape-and-reel packaging (TR) is standard for automated pick-and-place; cut-tape (CT) is also available for prototype runs.
