Dual-voltage supervision in a five-pin SOT-23
The MAX6418UK29+T is a multi-voltage supervisor from Analog Devices that monitors two supply rails and asserts an active-low reset when either falls below its threshold. The primary threshold is fixed at 2.925 V; the second channel uses an adjustable input so the designer sets the trip point with an external resistor divider — useful when the secondary rail is non-standard or the margin needs field tweaking. The reset output is push-pull, totem pole — no external pull-up required, and the output state is guaranteed down to 1 V on VCC. The reset timeout is adjustable via an external capacitor, giving the downstream processor time to stabilize before the supervisor releases the reset line.
The SOT-23-5 footprint (SC-74A) is a standard five-pin layout — the same land pattern used by countless single-voltage supervisors, so the board already has the pads if the BOM is migrating from a single-channel part. The adjustable channel on the second input lets the designer set a higher or lower trip point for the other rail without changing the supervisor IC.
