Boost regulator with 2V to 16.5V input range
The MAX632ACSA+ is a step-up switching regulator from Analog Devices, using a boost or charge-pump topology to generate an adjustable output from a low-voltage rail. The input range spans 2V minimum to 16.5V maximum, making it suitable for battery-powered or multi-rail systems where the source voltage varies. The integrated switch is rated for 450mA, and the switching frequency is fixed at 50kHz. Output can be set as low as 1.31V or as high as 18V (limited by the switch rating), and the configuration supports both positive and negative output polarity.
Package, temperature grade, and lifecycle
The part carries an Active lifecycle status from Analog Devices and is ROHS3 compliant. No synchronous rectifier is used internally, so the external diode selection matters for efficiency.
