SC-70 supervisor for single-supply monitoring
The MAX6328XR26+T is a single-channel voltage supervisor from Analog Devices, monitoring a 2.63V threshold with an active-low, open-drain reset output. It is a Simple Reset/Power-On Reset type, meaning it asserts reset when the monitored voltage drops below the threshold and holds it for a minimum of 100 ms after recovery. Housed in the compact SC-70-3 (SOT-323) package, it occupies minimal board space — the 3-lead footprint suits space-constrained designs like portable or embedded systems where a single voltage rail needs reliable power-on reset and brownout detection.
Threshold, timeout, and temperature range
The 2.63V threshold is specified for monitoring a 2.5V or 3.0V nominal rail — the supervisor trips before the core logic loses state, giving the system time to save context. The 100 ms minimum reset timeout ensures the supply has stabilised before the processor restarts, preventing spurious boot-up on a ringing rail. The open-drain output allows the reset line to be shared with other supervisors or pulled up to a different voltage than the monitored rail, simplifying mixed-voltage system integration.
