2.5V buried zener reference — ±0.04% initial accuracy
The Maxim Integrated MAX6325ESA+ is a precision 2.5V series voltage reference built around a buried zener architecture. Its ±0.04% initial tolerance and 1.5ppm/°C temperature coefficient place it in the class of references used for 16-bit and higher ADC/DAC systems, precision weigh scales, and calibration-grade instrumentation. The buried zener design delivers lower noise and better long-term stability than bandgap references — the 1.5µVp-p noise in the 0.1Hz to 10Hz band and 1.3µVrms from 10Hz to 10kHz are figures that matter when the reference noise floor must stay well below the converter's LSB.
Input range and output drive — industrial supply compatibility
The 8V to 36V input range lets this reference run directly from a 12V or 24V industrial rail without a preregulator. Output is fixed at 2.5V and can source up to 15 mA — enough to drive several ADC reference inputs or a small divider string. Supply current is 3 mA typical, so the power budget is modest even in multi-channel systems.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in an 8-pin SOIC package (8-SOIC, 0.154" body width, 3.90mm), surface-mount assembly is straightforward. The -40°C to +85°C operating range covers industrial and outdoor telecom environments. ROHS3 compliant per the current revision.
