Active production — still a current BOM line
The MAX6303CSA+: This is a current-production part you can spec into a new design without worrying about a forced migration mid-cycle. RoHS3 compliant (EU 2015/863), so it passes the restricted-substance check for EU-market equipment without an exemption review.
What the supervisor ratings mean for the power rail
The voltage threshold is adjustable/selectable via an external resistor divider — you set the trip point to match the monitored rail's nominal voltage, not a fixed factory trim. This flexibility means one part number covers multiple supply voltages on the same BOM (3.3 V, 5 V, or any value in between). Minimum reset timeout is 2.8 ms — the output stays asserted low for at least that long after the rail rises above the threshold. That interval covers the oscillator start-up and regulator settling time for most microcontrollers; check the processor's own minimum reset pulse width to confirm margin.
Package and board-fit — standard SOIC-8
The footprint is the industry-standard SOIC-8 land pattern — no special pad geometry, no exposed pad to route. Fits a two-layer PCB with basic fan-out. Suitable for indoor equipment, benchtop instruments, telecom racks, and industrial control cabinets where the ambient stays within that band. Not rated for automotive under-hood or extended outdoor exposure without thermal analysis.
