Active production — what it means for your BOM
The MAX6302CSA+: RoHS3 compliant, which covers the current EU substance restrictions — no exemption expiry to track for this ordering code.
Reset behaviour and output stage
This is a Simple Reset/Power-On Reset supervisor monitoring a single voltage rail. The reset output goes active high when the monitored voltage falls below the threshold, and the output stage is open drain or open collector — meaning you pull it up to your logic supply rail externally, which also lets it wire-OR with other open-drain signals on the same line. The reset timeout is 2.8 ms minimum, giving the supply rail time to stabilise before the processor is released from reset — long enough for most linear regulators to settle but short enough that the system is ready within a few milliseconds of power-good. Threshold voltage is adjustable or selectable, so you set the trip point with an external resistor divider to match your core supply voltage — useful when the same PCB design runs multiple processor voltages across different BOM variants.
This covers most indoor, office, and consumer equipment but not extended industrial or automotive environments — if your system sees -20°C or 85°C ambient, look at the industrial-grade variant in the same family.
