Supervisor function and reset behaviour
The MAX6301ESA+ is a simple reset/power-on reset supervisor from Analog Devices, monitoring a single voltage rail and asserting an active-low reset signal when the supply drops below the threshold. The output is open drain or open collector, so it can be wire-ORed with other reset sources or pulled up to a different logic voltage than the monitored rail — useful in multi-voltage systems where the supervisor runs on a separate supply. Reset timeout is a minimum of 2.8 ms — long enough to allow the supply to stabilize after a brownout, short enough that the processor does not sit idle waiting for the reset to release.
