Supervisor IC for single-rail monitoring
The MAX6301CUA+T is a simple reset/power-on reset supervisor from Analog Devices, monitoring a single voltage rail and asserting an active-low reset when the supply drops below the adjustable threshold. The open-drain output stays low for a minimum of 2.8 ms after the supply recovers, giving the downstream processor time to stabilize before the reset is released.
Threshold flexibility and output drive
The voltage threshold is adjustable via external resistors, so the same part number covers any rail from roughly 1.2 V up to 5.5 V by setting the divider ratio — no need to stock multiple fixed-threshold variants. The open-drain output lets the reset signal share a pull-up with other open-drain devices on the same line, or connect directly to a processor reset input that expects a driven-low signal.
The part is ROHS3 compliant, meeting the current restriction-of-hazardous-substances directive for lead-free soldering processes.
