What the 2A peak output means for your load

The MAX627CSA+ is a low-side gate driver that sources and sinks 2 A peak from a single output, enough to charge and discharge the gate capacitance of a medium-power N-channel or P-channel MOSFET in tens of nanoseconds. Rise and fall times are 25 ns and 20 ns typical respectively, so the switching losses in the FET stay low even at several hundred kilohertz — the driver's own propagation delay doesn't eat into the dead-time budget.

Supplied in tube packaging, which suits low-to-medium volume assembly or prototype runs where tape-and-reel minimums would over-allocate.
