2.5V rail with 0.06% initial accuracy
The MAX6143AASA25+ is a series voltage reference from Analog Devices, delivering a fixed 2.5 V output with a tight initial tolerance of ±0.06%. This level of accuracy means the reference output stays within 1.5 mV of 2.5 V at 25 °C without any external trim — critical for a precision ADC's Vref pin or a DAC's full-scale accuracy budget. For a 16-bit ADC with a 2.5 V reference, that drift contributes well under 1 LSB of error across temperature.
Input headroom and output drive
The series topology means quiescent current is only 600 µA, which is independent of the load current. Output current capability is 30 mA, enough to bias multiple ADC inputs, an external buffer, or a small sensor bridge.
Noise floor for precision signal chains
For a 2.5 V reference feeding a 24-bit sigma-delta ADC, this noise floor is low enough that the converter's own quantization noise dominates the signal chain — no additional filtering needed between the reference output and the ADC's Vref pin.
