2.5 V precision reference — ±0.04 % initial accuracy, 7 ppm/°C drift
The MAX6133AASA25+T is a series voltage reference from Analog Devices that delivers a fixed 2.5 V output with an initial tolerance of ±0.04 %. That 0.04 % figure means the as-shipped output sits between 2.499 V and 2.501 V — tight enough to set the full-scale range of a 16-bit ADC without an external trim pot. Temperature drift is specified at 7 ppm/°C.
Noise floor and output drive for signal-chain integration
For a 16-bit ADC with a 2.5 V reference, the 12 µVrms wideband noise contributes roughly 0.2 LSB of rms noise — low enough that the converter's own noise floor dominates the system budget. Output current capability is 15 mA with a quiescent supply current of 85 µA. Input voltage range is 2.7 V to 12.6 V.
Package, mounting, and compliance
The SOIC-8 footprint is standard across the industry — no custom land pattern needed, and the body is compatible with standard pick-and-place and reflow profiles.
