Precision reference for ADC and sensor bias rails
The MAX6072AAUB41+ is a series voltage reference from Analog Devices that delivers a fixed 2.048V or 4.096V output with ±0.05% initial tolerance and a 6ppm/°C temperature coefficient.
Noise floor and output drive in a 10-MSOP footprint
For a 16-bit ADC with a 4.096V reference, that 8.6µVrms wideband noise contributes roughly 0.5 LSB of rms noise — well within the noise budget for most industrial measurement chains without post-filtering. Output current is rated at 10 mA, enough to drive the reference input of multiple ADCs or a small sensor bridge. The 0.5 mm pin pitch is manageable on a two-layer board with careful routing, though a ground plane under the package helps with thermal uniformity and noise rejection.
Industrial temperature range and compliance
The 6ppm/°C drift means the output shifts less than 0.6 mV over the entire range for a 4.096V output — a 0.015% total drift error that does not force a system-level calibration across temperature. The part is supplied in a tube, surface-mount assembly ready. RoHS3 compliance covers the EU regulatory requirement for lead-free soldering.
