2.5 V reference with ±0.4% initial accuracy
The MAX6066BEUR+T is a 2.5 V fixed-output series voltage reference in a SOT-23-3 package. Output current is rated at 5 mA, which limits the load this reference can drive directly — it will bias the reference input of most ADCs and DACs without an external buffer, but a multi-channel SAR array drawing more than 5 mA peak needs a follower.
Noise floor for precision analog chains
For a 2.5 V full-scale input to a 16-bit ADC (38 µV per LSB), the 0.1-to-10 Hz noise contributes roughly 0.7 LSB peak-to-peak — clean enough for most industrial analog inputs without post-filtering. The series architecture draws 125 µA quiescent supply current from a 2.7 V to 12.6 V input rail. This self-consumption is low enough for battery-powered sensor nodes where the reference stays on continuously.
Active lifecycle and SOT-23-3 footprint
Packaged in the industry-standard SOT-23-3 (TO-236-3, SC-59) footprint, it mounts directly on a two-layer board with no special thermal pad requirements. Supplied on tape and reel for pick-and-place assembly.
