10-bit dual DAC for precision voltage-set applications
The MAX5721EUA+T integrates two 10-bit buffered voltage-output DACs in an 8-pin MSOP, communicating over a SPI/DSP-compatible serial interface. Each channel settles to within 1 LSB in 10 µs, supporting per-channel update rates above 50 kHz for trim, offset, or set-point generation. The external reference input allows the output span to be scaled independently of the supply.
Linearity and accuracy for closed-loop control
Integral nonlinearity is ±0.5 LSB typical, ±1 LSB maximum; differential nonlinearity is ±0.5 LSB typical with a ±1 LSB maximum. This guarantees monotonic performance across the full 10-bit range, so the output never steps backward when the digital code increments. The String DAC architecture inherently provides monotonicity, and the buffered output can source or sink current without loading the reference. No differential output option is available — each channel is single-ended referenced to ground.
