10-Bit String DAC in SOT-23-6
The MAX5711EUT+T is a single-channel, 10-bit digital-to-analog converter built around a string DAC architecture, delivering a voltage-buffered output from a single SOT-23-6 package. It settles to within 1 LSB in 10 µs typical, with integral and differential nonlinearity specified at ±0.5 LSB and ±1 LSB maximum respectively — the string topology inherently guarantees monotonicity, so the output always moves in the correct direction as the digital code increments.
Supply and Interface
The digital interface accepts SPI or DSP-compatible frames, so it connects directly to the serial peripheral interface of most microcontrollers without glue logic. The reference is drawn from the supply pin itself (supply-referenced architecture), which means the full-scale output tracks the supply voltage — useful in ratiometric applications where the ADC reference is the same rail.
Housed in a 6-lead SOT-23 (supplier device package SOT-6), the part occupies minimal board area and is specified for surface-mount assembly. The operating temperature range spans -40°C to 85°C, covering industrial environments from cold storage to warm factory floors. Available in both Tape & Reel and Cut Tape formats, the packaging options suit prototype builds as well as volume production.
The part is ROHS3 compliant, meeting the latest restriction-of-hazardous-substances directive for lead-free assembly.
