The MAX5467EUT+T is a single-channel, 10 kΩ digital rheostat from the FleaPoT™ series, offering 32 linearly spaced tap positions. The linear taper means each step changes resistance evenly — useful for volume control, bias trimming, or programmable gain setting where a predictable per-step increment matters. Memory is volatile, so the wiper position resets to mid-scale on power-up and is lost when supply drops. The Up/Down interface with chip select keeps control simple — three digital lines, no I²C or SPI protocol overhead, which saves firmware cycles on a small MCU.
Supply range and temperature stability
Temperature coefficient is 35 ppm/°C typical — the resistance drifts about 0.35 Ω per °C on a 10 kΩ element. For a bias-adjustment circuit seeing a 60°C swing, that is roughly 21 Ω of shift, negligible for most analog trims but worth budgeting if the wiper sets a precision threshold.
Package and rework reality
Housed in a SOT-23-6 package, the MAX5467EUT+T is small enough for tight layouts but still hand-solderable with a fine-tip iron. No thermal pad underneath — the six pins are the only heat path, so standard lead-free reflow profiles work. The ±25% resistance tolerance means the absolute end-to-end value varies from part to part; the tap-to-tap ratio stays consistent, so it is the ratiometric accuracy that matters in a divider application.
