16-bit, 1 µs settling, single-supply DAC
The MAX5444AEUB+ is a 16-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, built on an R-2R ladder architecture with an external reference. It settles to within 1 LSB in 1 µs typical, making it suited for closed-loop control and waveform generation where update rate matters. Integral and differential nonlinearity are both ±0.5 LSB maximum, so the output code stays monotonic across the full 16-bit range — no missing codes at the transition edges.
The SPI-compatible serial interface (data in, clock, chip select) uses standard logic levels within that supply. The unbuffered voltage output drives a resistive load directly; for capacitive loads or long PCB traces, a unity-gain buffer after the output pin preserves the settling time spec.
10-pin µMAX, industrial temperature range
Housed in a 10-lead µMAX package (3.00 mm × 3.00 mm body, 0.118-inch pitch), the MAX5444AEUB+ occupies minimal board area. The supplier device package is designated 10-uMAX/uSOP.
