Dual 100k digital pot with I²C bus
The MAX5387NAUD+ from Analog Devices is a dual-channel digital potentiometer with 100k Ohm end-to-end resistance and 256 wiper taps per channel, giving roughly 390 Ohms per step on a linear taper. Communication is over the I²C bus with a selectable address, so up to eight of these can share the same two-wire line without conflict. The wiper resistance is 250 Ohms typical, which matters when the pot is used as a voltage divider — the wiper resistance adds a small offset at the extremes.
Housed in a 14-TSSOP package with a 4.40mm body width, it fits the standard mixed-signal footprint and is surface-mount for automated assembly. The 35ppm/°C temperature coefficient keeps the resistance stable across temperature — less than 3.5 Ohms drift per °C on a 100k pot, which is tight enough for most trim and bias applications.
ROHS3 compliant, so it meets the current EU RoHS exemption framework and ships without lead in the solder finish. Supplied in tube packaging — store the reels dry if re-reeling; the TSSOP body is MSL-sensitive per standard JEDEC profiles.
