8-bit, 8-channel, 7 µs — the parametric fit for dense analog output
The MAX5259EEE+T: Eight 8-bit voltage-output DACs in a single 16-pin QSOP, each settling to ½ LSB in 7 µs typical. The String DAC architecture guarantees monotonicity, and the ±0.1 LSB INL/DNL means the output code-to-voltage relationship stays linear across the full range — no missing codes, no step reversals. For a control loop updating eight analog setpoints at 140 kHz per channel, this part delivers the update rate without a separate sample-and-hold per channel.
Single supply rail, SPI interface, industrial temperature
The SPI data interface handles the 8-channel update with a single chip-select line; the buffered voltage output drives a 10 kΩ load directly without an external op-amp.
Package, footprint, and procurement format
Supplied in a 16-lead SSOP (0.154-inch body width, 3.90 mm) that also maps to the 16-QSOP supplier package designation. The Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) options let you order production reels for pick-and-place or smaller quantities for prototyping — the footprint is the same either way. Surface-mount assembly with a standard 0.635 mm pitch; no fine-pitch or BGA reflow profile required.
