What this quad DAC does on the board
The MAX5250BEAP+ is a 10-bit, quad-channel digital-to-analog converter with voltage-buffered outputs, meaning it can drive four independent analog voltages from a single SPI bus. Each of the four DACs settles to within 1 LSB in 10 µs typical, fast enough for closed-loop trim or set-point control in a multi-channel system.

The supplier device package is 20-SSOP, and it ships in a tube.
Interface and linearity
The SPI data interface uses a standard 3-wire serial protocol (SCLK, DIN, CS) to load the 10-bit data word into each DAC register. With a 10 µs settling time, the output reaches its final value within one SPI frame at typical clock rates. Integral non-linearity is ±1 LSB maximum, and differential non-linearity is also 1 LSB maximum — this means every code step is guaranteed monotonic, and the transfer function stays within one LSB of an ideal straight line across the full 0–5 V output range.
