16-bit precision DAC for industrial set-point and trim
The MAX5203BEUB+ is a single-channel 16-bit digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, delivering a voltage-buffered output via an SPI interface. Its 25 µs typical settling time suits closed-loop control and calibration trim applications where the DAC update rate must keep pace with the loop bandwidth. Supply rails and linearity budget
The internal reference eliminates the external reference IC and its bypass capacitor, saving board area in a 10-pin MSOP footprint. For a 16-bit DAC with a 3.3 V reference, 1 LSB equals roughly 50 µV — the ±2 LSB DNL guarantees monotonicity across the full output range, so the control loop sees no missing codes at the set point.
