Dual 16-bit voltage output in a 16-TSSOP footprint
The MAX5136AGUE+T is a dual 16-bit voltage-output DAC from Analog Devices using a String DAC architecture. It settles to within 1 LSB in 5 µs typical, which sets the update rate ceiling for closed-loop control or precision set-point generation. The digital interface accepts 3-wire serial, DSP, Microwire, QSPI, and SPI protocols, so it ties directly to most MCU SPI peripherals without a glue-logic level translator. The 16-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width) fits a standard SOIC footprint on a two-layer board.
Supply rail and reference flexibility
The reference can be driven externally or taken from the internal bandgap, saving a separate reference IC when absolute accuracy requirements allow. INL is ±2 LSB max, DNL is ±1 LSB max — monotonic over temperature by design. The differential output is not available; this is a single-ended voltage-output part.
