Quad 8-bit DAC with buffered voltage output
The MAX505BCAG+ is an 8-bit quad digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, delivering four independent voltage-buffered outputs from a single 24-SSOP package. Each DAC settles to within ±1 LSB DNL in 6 µs typical — fast enough for closed-loop trim or multi-channel setpoint control in test equipment and industrial calibration fixtures. The R-2R ladder architecture with external reference gives the designer control over the output span; the parallel data interface suits bus-mapped systems where update latency matters more than pin count.
Supply rails and temperature envelope
The part runs on split ±5 V analog supplies with a separate 5 V digital rail — the analog supply headroom sets the output swing, while the digital supply powers the interface logic and the R-2R switches.
