The MAX491ESD+ is a full-duplex transceiver supporting both RS422 and RS485 protocols at a data rate of 2.5Mbps, with a single driver and single receiver (1/1). The 70 mV receiver hysteresis provides noise margin on long twisted-pair cable runs — the hysteresis band filters out differential noise below that threshold without external filtering.
