The MAX491ECPD+ is a single RS-422/RS-485 transceiver from Analog Devices, integrating one driver and one receiver in a full-duplex configuration. It supports data rates up to 2.5 Mbps over balanced transmission lines, making it suitable for industrial multi-drop networks or point-to-point links where differential signaling rejects common-mode noise. Receiver hysteresis and temperature grade
The receiver includes 70 mV of hysteresis, which prevents output chatter on slowly changing or noisy differential inputs — a practical benefit when the cable run picks up coupled interference from adjacent motor drives or switching supplies. Rated for the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, this variant is intended for indoor equipment, lab instrumentation, or controlled-environment industrial panels.
