The MAX489ESD+ is a single RS-422/RS-485 transceiver in a 14-SOIC surface-mount package, supporting full-duplex communication on a single differential pair per direction. Rated for 250 kbps data rate with one driver and one receiver, it fits point-to-point or multi-drop RS-485 networks where the bus does not need direction switching.
