650 MHz bandwidth for 1000 Base-T signal integrity
The MAX4890ETJ+T is a 4-channel SPDT Ethernet switch from Analog Devices, designed for high-speed differential signal routing in 1000 Base-T LAN applications. Its 650 MHz -3dB bandwidth ensures the 125 MHz fundamental and its harmonics pass with minimal attenuation, keeping the eye diagram open at the PHY receiver. Each channel presents a maximum 5.5 Ohm on-resistance, which adds about 0.2 dB of insertion loss at 100 MHz into a 100 Ohm differential trace — well within the link budget for a 100-meter Category 5e channel.
Supply and temperature range for networking gear
Operating from a single 3V to 3.6V rail, the switch integrates directly with 3.3V PHY and MAC power domains without a separate regulator.
Active lifecycle and compliance posture
ROHS3 compliance covers the EU RoHS exemption list, so no special handling or documentation is needed for EU-market shipments.
