Eight SPI-driven low-side outputs
The MAX4820EUP+T: A serial SPI interface controls all eight outputs with a single chip-select line, keeping the BOM count low on a multiplexed I/O bus.
Output drive and on-resistance
Each channel sinks up to 70 mA continuous with a typical on-resistance of 2 Ohm — enough margin to drive a 5 V relay coil or a small solenoid without an external transistor. The 1:8 input-to-output ratio means one SPI command updates all eight channels simultaneously, useful for latching multiple relays in a single bus transaction.
Housed in a 20-TSSOP with an exposed pad (20-TSSOP-EP), the part sits on a standard 0.65 mm pitch footprint and the pad pulls heat into the PCB copper pour.
