Quad SPDT switch with sub-ohm Ron for precision signal routing
The Maxim Integrated MAX4784EUE+ is a quad single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch in a 16-pin TSSOP package. Each of the four independent switches routes one of two inputs to a common output, controlled by a logic-level select pin. The headline spec is 1 ohm max on-resistance — low enough to pass audio, video, or precision analog signals with minimal insertion loss and negligible voltage drop, even at 1.6 V supply floor.
Supply range and timing — fitting the rail and the bus
Single supply range is 1.6 V to 4.2 V. Turn-on time is 25 ns max, turn-off 10 ns max. Charge injection is 5 pC typical, which limits glitch energy when switching into a capacitive load. The 1 nA max off-leakage keeps the signal path from loading the source when the switch is open, important in high-impedance sensor interfaces.
Industrial temperature grade — not just a bench part
Rated -40°C to 85°C ambient, the MAX4784EUE+ suits outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor I/O modules, and engine-bay electronics where the enclosure sees seasonal extremes. The 16-TSSOP package (4.4 mm wide) fits tight PCB layouts alongside passives and connectors.
Lifecycle and sourcing — active production, no LTB pressure
ROHS3 compliant per. For BOM-line stability, the active status means no urgent need to qualify an alternate.
