8-channel SPDT switch with 3.5Ω on-resistance
The MAX4761ETX+T integrates eight SPDT switches in a single 36-TQFN package, each switch configured as a 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer. The 3.5Ω max on-resistance keeps insertion loss low in signal paths up to 150 MHz bandwidth.
Supply range and switching speed
Single-supply operation from 1.8V to 5.5V covers common low-voltage rails — 3.3V and 5V systems both work without a negative rail. Switch timing is 140ns on, 50ns off, fast enough for audio crosspoint and low-frequency analog multiplexing.
Signal integrity: crosstalk and charge injection
Crosstalk is -95dB at 100 kHz — this keeps channel bleed below the noise floor of a 16-bit ADC front-end. Charge injection is 15 pC typical; in a high-impedance sample-and-hold, that charge creates a voltage glitch of about 15 mV into a 1 nF hold cap. Off-leakage is 5 nA max, and channel capacitance is 25 pF, both low enough for precision analog switching.
Package and thermal pad layout
Supplied in a 36-WFQFN with exposed pad (6x6 mm body, supplier package 36-TQFN). The exposed paddle must be soldered to a thermal land on the PCB and connected to the ground plane for heat sinking — the datasheet's recommended footprint is the starting point for the copper pattern.
Channel matching and temperature range
Channel-to-channel on-resistance matching is 200 mΩ max, ensuring consistent attenuation across all eight channels in multiplexed measurements.
