Dual SP4T analog switch in a 16-QFN package
The Maxim Integrated MAX4692EGE+ is a dual SP4T analog switch in a 16-QFN (4x4 mm) exposed-pad package. Each of the two switch circuits routes one common terminal to one of four independent I/O channels, controlled by a 2-bit digital address. The part operates from a single supply of 2 V to 11 V or dual supplies of ±2 V to ±5.5 V. On-resistance is 70 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching of 2 Ohm. Crosstalk between channels is -75 dB at 100 kHz, and charge injection is 0.1 pC.
Package and mounting
The 16-QFN with exposed pad (4x4 mm body) requires a thermal land on the PCB for heat sinking and mechanical stability. The exposed pad is typically connected to the most negative supply (V- or GND). Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard lead-free soldering; the part is ROHS3 compliant. The tube shipping medium is fine for prototype or low-volume builds; for production reels, check the alternate tape-and-reel suffix.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is ROHS3 compliant. For BOM freeze or second-source qualification, Maxim (now Analog Devices) lists no direct pin-compatible replacement — the part is the current offering in its family.
