What this switch does and where it fits
The MAX4680CAE+ from Analog Devices is a dual SPST-NC (normally-closed) analog switch in a 16-SSOP package. Its 1.25 Ohm max on-resistance makes it a good fit for precision signal routing where series resistance would otherwise degrade gain accuracy or introduce thermal offset — think audio crosspoint switching, data-acquisition front-ends, or ATE pin electronics. The 16-SSOP body (5.30 mm width) fits on dense mixed-signal boards; the 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature grade suits controlled indoor environments like lab instruments, bench-top test gear, and telecom line cards.

On-resistance is 1.25 Ohm max with 90 mOhm channel-to-channel matching.
Supply flexibility and charge injection
Operates from a single 4.5 V to 36 V supply or dual ±4.5 V to ±20 V supplies. Charge injection is 55 pC.
