Switch topology and on-resistance profile
The MAX4667ESE+ is a 2-circuit SPST-NC (normally-closed) analog switch from Analog Devices, with a multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit of 1:1 per channel. The on-state resistance is 2.5Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching of 50mOhm, so the insertion loss and gain error track closely across both channels in precision signal routing.
Supply range and switching performance
Operates from a single supply of 4.5V to 36V, or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V, covering common analog rails from ±5V to ±15V. Maximum switching times are 275ns (turn-on) and 175ns (turn-off), fast enough for audio multiplexing, sample-and-hold front-ends, and low-frequency test equipment. Charge injection is 450pC typical, and crosstalk between channels is -66dB at 1MHz, both of which matter when the switch is used in a precision DAC output or a multi-channel data-acquisition system where settling time and channel isolation are critical. Off-leakage current is 500pA max, and each channel's off-capacitance is 65pF, keeping the signal path high-impedance when the switch is open.
