The MAX4662EAE+T is a quad SPST-NO analog switch from Analog Devices, built for routing low-level signals in precision instrumentation, data acquisition, and audio systems. Four independent 1:1 switches each present a maximum 2.5 Ohm on-resistance. The 2.5 Ohm Ron keeps voltage division errors small when driving a typical 10 kOhm ADC input — the switch adds roughly 0.025% gain error before the converter's own INL budget.
Supply flexibility and signal fidelity
Channel-to-channel crosstalk is -59 dB at 1 MHz, meaning a 1 Vpp signal on one channel couples less than 1.1 mV into an adjacent off-channel — relevant for multiplexing sensor arrays where bleed-through corrupts the reading. Maximum switching times of 275 ns turn-on and 175 ns turn-off set the throughput ceiling: at 1 MHz the switch spends roughly 28% of the period in transition, so the settling window for the downstream amplifier or ADC shrinks accordingly. Charge injection of 300 pC means each switching event dumps a fixed charge onto the load capacitor — for a 100 pF sampling cap this translates to a 3 V glitch, which must settle before the ADC conversion starts.
