Low on-resistance and fast switching for precision signal routing
The MAX4651EUE+ integrates four SPST-NC (normally-closed) analog switches, each with a maximum on-resistance of 4 Ohm. This low R_on minimizes voltage drop and signal attenuation in precision analog paths, such as sensor multiplexing or audio routing. Switching is fast: 14 ns typical turn-on and 8 ns turn-off, with channel-to-channel matching held to 50 mOhm. The 2 pC charge injection reduces glitch energy when switching between channels, important for sample-and-hold or DAC output steering. Crosstalk is rated at -100 dB at 1 MHz, meaning signal bleed between channels stays well below the noise floor of most 16-bit acquisition systems. Off-leakage current is a maximum of 100 pA, preserving accuracy in high-impedance circuits.
Supply range and temperature grade for mixed-voltage designs
Each switch's 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer configuration means the signal path is a simple series pass element — no internal routing matrix. Channel capacitance (CS(off), CD(off)) is 16 pF typical, which loads the bus lightly at high frequencies.
Package and board-fit for automated assembly
Supplied in Tube format, which is the standard for prototype and low-volume builds. RoHS3 compliant, with no exempt substances.
