SPST-NO switch for precision analog signal routing
The Maxim Integrated MAX4645EUA+ is a single-pole single-throw normally-open (SPST-NO) analog switch in an 8-uMAX/uSOP package. It routes one channel with a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer configuration, controlled by a digital logic input. The switch is designed for precision analog and digital signal gating where low on-resistance and fast switching matter. On-resistance is a maximum 2.5 Ohm across the rated supply range, which keeps signal attenuation minimal in audio or sensor paths. Channel-to-channel matching holds within 100 mOhm, so gain errors stay consistent when switching between identical signal legs. Switch times are 15 ns (turn-on) and 10 ns (turn-off), making this part suitable for multiplexing in data acquisition or test equipment where the sample window is in the tens of nanoseconds. Charge injection is 5 pC — low enough that a downstream sample-and-hold or ADC input sees negligible glitch energy.
Supply and signal handling
Operates from a single supply of 1.8 V to 5 V. Off-state leakage current is a maximum 250 pA. Channel capacitance in the off state is 17 pF on both source and drain sides. The part is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, covering outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor instrumentation, and test equipment. It does not carry an AEC-Q100 grade, so it is not qualified for automotive under-hood or chassis environments.
