Dual SPDT switch with wide supply range
The MAX4632ESE+ integrates two independent SPDT (single-pole double-throw) switches, each configurable as a 2:1 multiplexer or demultiplexer, in a single 16-SOIC package. On-resistance is 85Ω max, with channel-to-channel matching of 3Ω ensuring consistent signal attenuation across both switch paths. Switching is fast: turn-on time 150ns max, turn-off 100ns max, suitable for audio routing, data acquisition, and signal multiplexing at moderate speeds.
Supply flexibility and signal integrity
Operates from a single supply of 9V to 36V or dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±18V, covering standard industrial rails and allowing bipolar signal switching without level shifting. Crosstalk is -66dB at 1MHz, which keeps channel-to-channel bleed low in precision analog paths—important when multiplexing sensor signals or audio channels. Charge injection is 5pC typical, and off-leakage current is 500pA max, preserving sample-and-hold accuracy in low-level signal chains. Channel capacitance CS(off) and CD(off) are both 18pF, a balanced figure that does not skew the RC time constant between switch positions.
Package, temperature, and compliance
Housed in a 16-SOIC (0.154-inch width, 3.90mm) surface-mount package with supplier device package designation 16-SOIC. Supplied in Tube packaging, which suits low-to-moderate volume assembly or prototyping runs.
