8:1 analog multiplexer with low on-resistance
The MAX4617CUE+ from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a single 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. It switches one common I/O to any of eight independent channels, controlled by a 3-bit address. The part is specified for single-supply operation from 2V to 5.5V, making it compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic systems. On-state resistance is rated at 10 ohm maximum, with channel-to-channel matching within 200 milliohm. Switching times are 15 ns for turn-on and 10 ns for turn-off. Crosstalk between channels is -96 dB at 100 kHz, and charge injection is 3 pC. The device is housed in a 16-TSSOP package and operates over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
Signal integrity specs that matter for analog routing
Crosstalk is -96 dB at 100 kHz. On-resistance is 10 ohm max. Charge injection is 3 pC. Off-leakage is 1 nA max. Channel capacitance is 5 pF / 27 pF.
Package and supply rail
The 16-TSSOP body is 4.4 mm wide, a common footprint shared with many analog switches and multiplexers. The single-supply range from 2V to 5.5V covers 3.3V and 5V rails without needing a negative supply. The part is surface-mount only — no through-hole option. The commercial temperature grade (0°C to 70°C) means it is intended for indoor, controlled environments like test equipment, audio gear, or instrumentation racks. Not rated for automotive or extended industrial use.
Lifecycle and compliance
ROHS3 compliant. No last-time-buy or end-of-life notice is in effect.
