Quad SPST switch with 10 Ohm Ron and 70 MHz bandwidth
The MAX4616CPD+ is a quad SPST analog switch from Analog Devices, configurable as normally-open or normally-closed per channel. Its 10 Ohm max on-resistance keeps signal attenuation low in audio, video, and precision analog paths. The 70 MHz -3dB bandwidth and -96 dB crosstalk at 100 kHz mean this switch handles high-speed analog multiplexing without bleeding signal between channels — useful for multi-channel data acquisition or test equipment front-ends. Switching is fast: 12 ns turn-on, 10 ns turn-off max, so it can keep up with high-throughput analog muxing in ATE or instrumentation without introducing timing skew.
Supply rails and precision analog fit
Charge injection is 6.5 pC typ — low enough that sample-and-hold droop stays manageable at moderate acquisition rates. Channel-to-channel matching is 200 mOhm max, so gain errors across paths stay tight. Off-leakage is 1 nA max, which won't load high-impedance sources like photodiode amplifiers or precision DAC outputs. Channel capacitance is 5 pF per side (CS(off) and CD(off)) — this sets the RC roll-off in the off-state and matters when switching into a high-impedance load.
Through-hole DIP for bench and legacy sockets
The 14-pin DIP (0.300" width, 7.62 mm pitch) is a through-hole package — easy to hand-solder, socket in a breadboard, or retrofit into existing DIP footprints on prototype or legacy boards. Supplied in tubes. Fine for lab gear, benchtop instruments, and indoor equipment; not rated for automotive or outdoor extended-temp environments.
