Quad SPST-NC switch with 10 Ohm on-resistance
The MAX4615CUD+ is a quad single-pole single-throw normally-closed (SPST-NC) analog switch from Analog Devices, packaged in a 14-TSSOP. Each of the four switches connects a common terminal to its normally-closed output when the control logic is low, and opens the path when the control is high — a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer topology per channel. With a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ohm and channel-to-channel matching within 200 mOhm, the switch maintains consistent signal attenuation across all four paths. The 70 MHz -3 dB bandwidth means it passes high-speed analog or digital signals up to that frequency with minimal roll-off, while the -96 dB crosstalk at 100 kHz keeps adjacent channels isolated — useful in precision audio or data acquisition where bleed-through would corrupt the measurement.
Supply flexibility and switching speed
Turn-on time is 12 ns maximum, turn-off 10 ns maximum — fast enough for sample-and-hold front ends or multiplexed ADC inputs where the switch must settle before the conversion starts. Charge injection is 6.5 pC typical, which appears as a small voltage glitch on the signal path when the switch opens or closes. For a 10 pF hold capacitor, that translates to roughly 650 mV of step — something to budget for in precision circuits. Off-state leakage is 1 nA maximum, and each channel presents 5 pF of capacitance to ground in the off state, so the switch does not load the source significantly when disabled.
