Quad SPST analog switch for signal routing
The MAX4614ESD+ from Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated) is a quad single-pole single-throw normally-open analog switch in a 14-SOIC package. Each of the four independent switches handles rail-to-rail analog signals with a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ohm, making it suitable for audio line-level switching, data acquisition front-ends, and general-purpose analog multiplexing. The -3dB bandwidth of 70 MHz and crosstalk of -96 dB at 100 kHz keep channel separation clean for multi-channel audio or low-frequency instrumentation paths.
Supply voltage and logic compatibility
Runs on a single supply from 2 V to 5.5 V, so it works directly on both rails without a level translator. The switch control inputs are TTL/CMOS-compatible across that range, simplifying the interface to an MCU GPIO or FPGA bank.
Switching speed and charge injection
Turn-on time is 12 ns max, turn-off 10 ns max — fast enough for sample-and-hold or high-speed analog muxing in test equipment. Charge injection is 6.5 pC typical, which matters if you are switching into a high-impedance node where glitch energy could disturb a precision ADC input.
Package and footprint
Housed in a 14-SOIC (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm width) surface-mount package. The supplier device package is 14-SOIC. Shipped in tube — if you need tape-and-reel for automated assembly, confirm the reel suffix with your distributor before ordering.
Temperature range and environment
Rated for industrial temperature operation from -40°C to +85°C ambient. Suitable for factory-floor instrumentation, telecom line cards, and outdoor-edge equipment that sees temperature swings but not extended under-hood automotive conditions.
