Quad SPST switch with 2.5Ohm on-resistance
The MAX4602EWE+T is a quad single-pole single-throw (SPST) normally-open analog switch in a 16-SOIC package. It routes four independent signal channels with a maximum on-resistance of 2.5 Ohm, making it suitable for precision analog signal routing where insertion loss must stay low.
Signal isolation and channel matching
Crosstalk is rated at -59 dB at 1 MHz, meaning a signal on one channel couples into an adjacent channel at roughly 1 mV per volt of signal — adequate for 12-bit audio paths or multiplexed sensor arrays where channel bleed must stay below the noise floor. Channel-to-channel on-resistance matching is 100 mOhm max, so the gain error across paths in a balanced configuration stays within 4% of the nominal resistance — useful for differential signal chains or matched attenuator networks. Off-channel leakage current is 500 pA max at 25°C, which keeps the voltage error below 5 µV into a 10 kOhm load — negligible for most ADC front-ends but worth derating if the source impedance climbs above 1 MOhm.
Supply range and switching speed
That 36 V single-rail ceiling covers industrial 24 V rails with margin; the dual-supply option lets it pass bipolar signals without level shifting. Maximum turn-on time is 250 ns and turn-off is 350 ns, so the switch can multiplex signals at rates up to roughly 2 MHz before the settling window closes — fast enough for audio-rate switching or slow-scanning data acquisition.
