8:1 analog multiplexer with 80 Ohm Ron and -78 dB isolation
The MAX4581ESE+ is an 8-channel single-ended multiplexer/demultiplexer from Analog Devices, routing one of eight inputs to a common output through a 80 Ohm max on-state resistance switch. Channel-to-channel crosstalk measures -78 dB at 1 MHz, meaning a 1 Vpp signal on one channel couples less than 0.13 mV into an adjacent off-channel — sufficient for 12-bit precision analog paths at audio frequencies. Charge injection is specified at 0.5 pC typical, which translates to roughly 0.5 mV of glitch into a 1 nF sample-and-hold capacitor — a figure that matters when the multiplexer feeds a precision ADC or DAC reference input.

Off-leakage current is 1 nA maximum at 25°C, preserving DC accuracy in high-impedance sensor interfaces where a 10 MΩ source impedance would see only 10 mV of offset from leakage alone. Channel-to-channel on-resistance matching is within 1 Ohm, which simplifies gain calibration in multiplexed applications — the gain error from Ron variation across channels stays below 1.25% in a unity-gain buffer configuration.
